Worth the Drive: Why We’ll Trek to Red Cliff for the Tacos

What do Tijuana, Mexico, and Red Cliff, Colorado, have in common? Fish tacos. Really incredible fish tacos. With just under 300 residents, this teeny-tiny mountain town just outside Vail is the surprising home for some of the best fish tacos north of the Baja.

The secret’s in the sauce. Literally. At Mango’s Mountain Grill, the grilled pollock is doused in Ramiro’s Secret White Sauce (along with some mozzarella cheese, tomatoes, onions and lettuce) and served up in a flour tortilla. It’s not exactly traditional, but damn, it’s good.
