Ra Paulette has spent the last four decades hand-carving sandstone caves throughout New Mexico into works of art. After years of taking on commissioned works, Paulette has chosen to forego working for clients and is instead creating a massive, 10-year-long project. The Academy Award-nominated film, Cavedigger, explores Paulette’s creative process — and gives us a look at his underground works of art. Visit cavediggerdocumentary.com to rent or purchase the film, and check out this interview with filmmaker Jeffrey Karoff to learn more about the film’s creation.
