Prickly Pear Margarita

Serves 1

  • 2 ounces tequila
  • Juice of 1/2 large lime
  • 1 teaspoon confectioners’ sugar
  • 11/2 ounces triple sec
  • 3 tablespoons prickly pear syrup
  • 1/2 cup cracked ice
  • Salt, for the rim of the glass
  • 1 slice of lime, for garnish

Put all the ingredients except the salt and lime slice in a mixing glass. Add ice cubes and stir. Strain and serve straight up in a salt-rimmed glass garnished with a slice of lime.
